About 8.20am (Saturday 2 March 2019), emergency services were called to Priam Street, after an 70-year-old woman was bitten on the hand after two dogs approached her in the street while she was walking her dog.

Her dog is in the care of a local veterinarian.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and were told the two other dogs were picked up by a passing table top truck.

The dogs were found around 10.30am secured in a nearby yard. They will be handed over to a council ranger.

Police have spoken with the truck driver and confirmed he does not own the dogs. Inquiries are continuing.
