Woman injured in multi-vehicle crash, NSW

A woman has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following a multi-vehicle crash on the Central Coast overnight.

About 6.10pm (Sunday 18 October 2020), a Holden Commodore sedan, driven by a 38-year-old man, was travelling north on Empire Bay Drive at Empire Bay.

The Holden collided with an Isuzu D-Max traveling in the opposite direction, driven by a 62-year-old woman, before the Isuzu was then rear-ended by a Ford Mondeo.

The 32-year-old passenger female passenger in the Holden sedan sustained multiple injuries and was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.

The 66-year-old male passenger of the Isuzu was taken to Gosford Hospital, suffering minor injuries.

All three drivers were uninjured and were taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and have commenced an investigation.
