Rockhampton Regional Council is pleased to announce its annual Apprentices and Trainees intake for 2024 is open.

Rockhampton Regional Council Acting CEO Ross Cheesman said this initiative presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their careers and gain valuable experience across different fields within Council.

“With a commitment to fostering talent and investing in the community, Council is offering 15 apprenticeship and traineeships across various departments,” Mr Cheesman said.

“These positions provide an excellent pathway for individuals seeking hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development within the local government sector.

“We look forward to welcoming passionate and motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to Council’s vision of creating a vibrant and sustainable community.”

The available positions cover diverse areas within the Council, including:

  1. Horticulture / Parks and Gardens
  2. Administration
  3. Mechanic
  4. Live Production and Services
