Wounding investigations in Wynnum and Alexandra Hills, QLD

Police are investigating two wounding incidents in Brisbane’s Bayside last night.

Initial investigations indicate just before 5pm, a number of people became involved in an altercation at an address on Madgwick Street, Wynnum.

During the altercation, a 30-year-old Wynnum man sustained serious stab wounds.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A short time later in Alexandra Hills, just before 6pm, members of the public located a man aged in his 20s on the side of the road on Arundel Street, with injuries consistent with a stab wound.

Police believe the man was assaulted at an Longlands Street, Cleveland address before being driven to Alexandra Hills.

Emergency services responded and transported the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with a critical injury.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding both incidents which police believe to be linked.
