Xavier Crone returns to Victoria's contract list

Fast bowler Xavier Crone has been added to Victoria’s men’s contract list following the departure of James Pattinson.

Crone returns to Victoria’s contract list after first being offered a rookie contract in 2016.

The right-arm fast bowler represented Victoria in both First-Class and List-A matches last season before not being offered a contract for the 2022-23 season.

Crone made his Sheffield Shield debut at the SCG in November 2021, taking four wickets for the match. He has also played 5 List A matches.

“We’re pleased to welcome Xavier back onto our contracted list, he has been part of the Victorian system for many years and is someone we see a lot of potential in,” Cricket Victoria’s General Manager Cricket Performance, Graham Manou said.

“We thank Cricket Australia, other state associations and the ACA for allowing us to replace the squad position vacated by James Pattinson.”
