$500,000 reward announced in Tanya Glover homicide investigation

A $500,000 reward for information from the public has been announced as part of ongoing investigations into the 2010 murder of Tanya Lee Glover in Brisbane.

Police Minister Mark Ryan approved the reward for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the unlawful homicide, which is believed to have occurred around January, 2010.

On December 7, 2022, a homicide investigation was launched in relation to the location of the unknown, wrapped human remains located at the address of 122 Alderley Avenue, Alderley.

Following extensive forensic analysis, the remains have since been confirmed to be Tanya Lee Glover, who was 38-years-old in 2010.

The State Government approved the reward request to help investigators.

Police Minister Mark Ryan is encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

“Someone knows what happened to Ms Glover and I know the Queensland Police is absolutely determined to seek justice and find those responsible.

“$500,000 is a significant incentive to start sharing information with police and we hope it does lead to a resolution in this matter.

“If you know something that might help, now is the time to come forward and speak with police.”

Commissioner Katarina Carroll said indemnity from prosecution will also be recommended.

“We are very grateful for the Government’s support in approving this reward, and detectives are confident that it will encourage those who may have known what happened to Ms Glover to come forward.

“In the case of an offence being identified, an appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be recommended for any accomplice, not being the person who actually committed the crime,” Commissioner Carroll said.

Detective Acting Superintendent Craig Williams said investigators believe that someone known to Ms Glover have vital information.

“Investigations have determined that the last confirmed sighting of Ms Glover was on August 26, 2009, and that she would have been approximately 38-years-old at the time of her death.

“We know she was frequenting the Fortitude Valley area up until she was murdered.

“Police believe that the person or persons responsible were likely known to her and we hope this is a strong incentive those with information to come forward,” Detective Acting Superintendent Williams said.
