A Cup of Shepp and GV Art Exhibition now open at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre

Greater Shepparton City Council, through its destination brand Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, is excited to announce the opening of the ‘A Cup of Shepp and GV Art Exhibition’ taking place at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre.


From February to June 2024, the winning artwork from the ‘A Cup of Shepp and GV’ art contest will be on display at the Visitor Centre at 530 Wyndham Street, Shepparton.

The art competition was conducted across four weeks last year, from July to August 2023. The contest aimed to showcase the hidden talents in the community, with the opportunity for residents to develop creative artwork representing Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Dookie and Murchison.

The winning artworks to be showcased at the exhibition are:

  1. Anni Jane Linklater – Mooroopna
  2. Karren Pollerd – Tatura
  3. Katelyn Trevaskis – Murchison
  4. Stephanie Taylor – Dookie
  5. Kat Parker – Shepparton
  6. Monica Burney – ‘People’s Choice’ representing Shepparton

The Visitor Centre is also launching ceramic coffee cups and mugs featuring the wonderful art from the talented winners of the contest. Now locals and visitors will have the opportunity to take home a creative piece of our small towns.

Council encourages community members and visitors to head down to the Visitor Centre and discover the amazing local talent representing the region.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, congratulated the winners of the contest and invited residents to visit the exhibition and enjoy the artwork from our local artists.

“We congratulate the winners for their wonderful creativity and talent, and we are very excited to see their artwork on display for the community to enjoy,” he said.

“This exhibition is a great opportunity to showcase our small towns and the talented people who are part of the community. We also invite locals to discover the Visitor Centre and everything it has to offer. It is the perfect place to find out about all the fantastic things you can do in our region.”
