A message to our volunteers from FFA CEO James Johnson

Saturday 5 December marks International Volunteers Day 2020.

Football Federation Australia CEO James Johnson spoke about the importance of volunteers, who are the lifeblood of our game, in his latest CEO Update:

“Today, we celebrate International Volunteers Day.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our football community and we have thousands of volunteers across the country who make our game possible every day.

2020 was a challenging year for our clubs and volunteers with what the community confronted, from bushfires through to a global pandemic.

At FFA we recognise that it wasn’t an easy year to contend with and for this we want to congratulate our clubs, associations and the volunteers that contribute to the game so proudly.

Through adversity we find opportunity and we hope that we can retain our volunteers in 2021 to continue the important role they play.”
