Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged an additional three people overnight following a non-fatal shooting in Clayton on Saturday, 25 February.
Warrants were executed at residential addresses in Mount Waverley and Blackburn about midday on Wednesday 10 May.
A 29-year-old Glen Waverley man was arrested about 11.00am yesterday when he attended court for unrelated matters in an allegedly stolen vehicle.
He was charged with FPO subject possess firearm, theft of motor vehicle, handle/receive/retention stolen goods, traffick methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, traffick cocaine, possess cocaine, traffick GHB, prohibited person possess firearm, possess anabolic steroids and deal property suspected proceeds of crime.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
Police searched the allegedly stolen Holden Commodore and subsequently seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun, one magazine, a significant quantity of cash, stolen/false identification documents, a homemade conducted electronic device and various quantities of drugs of dependence, including what appear to be ecstasy, GHB and steroids.
A safe and a white Audi were seized from the Mount Waverley address.
With the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, a 29-year-old Blackburn man and a 23-year-old Blackburn woman were arrested at the Blackburn address.
The 29-year-old man was charged with drug and dishonesty offences.
He was remanded to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 6 June.
The 23-year-old woman was conveyed to hospital to be treated for the effects of drug use and is expected to be charged on summons.
Investigators seized a stolen Ducati motorcycle, various quantities of what appear to be GHB, cannabis, methylamphetamine and a quantity of cash from the address.
On Thursday of last week (4 May), a 30-year-old Seabrook man was charged with a range of offences including reckless conduct endanger life, home invasion (assault) with a firearm, aggravated burglary, intentionally cause serious injury, possess firearm when firearm prohibition order applies and possess loaded firearm in a non-public place with reckless disregard for safety.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 1 June.
The charges follow an incident where emergency services were called to Alice Street in Clayton around 1.50am on Saturday, 25 February following reports a man had been shot in the torso.
The 33-year-old Bentleigh East man was conveyed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A man and two women also inside the property at the time were not physically injured during the incident.
