Appeal after pedestrian hit at Guildford

Police are appealing for public assistance after a pedestrian was allegedly hit by a car in a fail to stop collision in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 10pm (Saturday 25 March 2023), emergency services were called to Woodstock Street, Guildford, following reports of an injured man.

On arrival, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told a man had allegedly been hit by a car, before the car fled the scene toward Marian Street.

The man, aged 25, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who may have information, dashcam footage from the area, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact police.
