Appeal to identify deceased man at Nelson Bay, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man who died in Nelson Bay yesterday.

About 12.45pm (Wednesday 17 November 2021), a man was found unconscious on Bridle Track – located between the Nelson Bay Marina and Dutchies Beach.

Members of the public performed CPR until emergency services arrived. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, the man died at the scene.

While the man’s death is not considered suspicious; detectives have been unable to identify him and notify his next of kin.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 35 and 45, 170-175cm tall, of solid build and with dark brown, greying hair.

At the time his body was located, the man was wearing an ‘Urban Supply’ black T-shirt, ‘Mossimo’ black shorts with white trims, grey socks, and size blue sneakers.

As part of efforts to identify the man, an image of the shoes the man was wearing at the time has been shared.
