Appeal to locate missing teen from Sydney’s northwest

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Sydney’s northwest.

Awab Farhan, aged 13, was last seen leaving a care home on Cornus Street, The Ponds about 11.30pm (Wednesday 5 April 2023).

When he did not return and could not be located, officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his young age.

Awab is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 155cm tall, of thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is known to frequent the Bankstown, Villawood, Sadlier and Liverpool areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
