Aquatics, Culture and Library facilities closures

Yarra Ranges Council will temporarily close its public libraries, cultural and recreation centres from today to try to help slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within its workforce and the community.

  • All Yarra Ranges Council libraries operated in partnership with Eastern Regional Libraries will be closed from 9am on Thursday 19 March until Tuesday 14 April 2020, with the possibility of this closure being extended. This includes Belgrave Library, Healesville Library, Lilydale Library, Montrose Library, Mooroolbark Library, Yarra Junction Library.
  • All Yarra Ranges Council aquatic and recreation centres run in partnership with Belgravia Leisure will be closed from 9am on Thursday 19 March until Tuesday 14 April 2020, with the possibility of this closure being extended. This includes Lilydale Outdoor Waterplay, Seville Waterplay Park, Monbulk Aquatic Centre, Kilsyth Pool, Jack Hort Pool and Yarra Recreation Centre.
  • All Yarra Ranges Council cultural venues will be closed from 9am on Thursday 19 March until Tuesday 14 April 2020 with the possibility of this closure being extended. This includes the Memo Healesville, Art Centre Warburton, Montrose Town Centre, Mooroolbark Community Centre and Yarra Ranges Regional Museum.

These are important services and Yarra Ranges Council understands the additional social and cultural role these facilities play in our community. We will look to find alternative and creative ways to engage and connect people over these coming weeks.
