Arrest Made Over Seaton Murder

Major Crime officers make breakthrough in Seaton murder.

About 10.20pm on Tuesday 10 September, emergency services were called to Carey Avenue after reports a man had been stabbed in the stomach.

Ambulance officers assisted the man however he died at the scene.

The victim is a 19-year-old from the address.

Major Crime detectives, along with Detectives and uniformed personnel from the Western District as well as Forensic Officers attended the scene for most of the day. Several yards, verges and streets were searched for evidence, and a quantity of items were seized. It is unclear currently if any of these items are linked to this incident.

This morning (Friday 13 September), Major Crime Detectives investigating the death have arrested a 19-year-old man from the Eastern suburbs. He has since been charged at the City Watch House with murder. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

The investigation is still on-going; however the arrested male was known to the victim and there is no evidence to suggest the involvement of any other person.
