Arrests continue over aggravated affray on Grenfell Street, South Australia

An man has been arrested and charged with further offences today in connection to the aggravated affray that took place within a licensed premise on Grenfell Street on 13 March 2022.

At about 1:08am on Sunday 13 March, an aggravated affray occurred within a licensed premises on Grenfell Street. Several people within the premises received stabbed wounds, with two men requiring surgery for life threatening injuries.

Today, members of Operation Meld arrested a 21-year-old man from Hillcrest in connection to his involvement in the incident. This man had previously been charged with aggravated affray and was on bail, however following further investigation and reviewing of evidence by Operation Meld officers, he was further charged with two counts of aggravated assault cause serious harm and one count of assault cause harm.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today (CO2200009582).
