Following the discovery of asbestos in mulch at sites around Sydney, the NSW Government has announced an Asbestos Taskforce to support a NSW Environment Protection Authority’s (EPA’s) investigation into the issue.
Recycled mulch must not contain asbestos or any material likely to cause pollution and the EPA carries out regular audits of recycled mulch producers and suppliers.
