Australia Post remediates payroll errors

Australia Post has identified payroll systems errors from 2014 through until 2023, impacting approximately 3,600 current and former team members.

The errors were identified as part of a compliance review and the impacted payroll systems have been corrected.

Australia Post will fully remediate any shortfall owed to current and former impacted team members with interest and superannuation where applicable, for the full period.

Australia Post self-reported the matter to the Fair Work Ombudsman.

Sue Davies, Executive General Manager, People & Culture said: “We unreservedly apologise and are proactively contacting impacted current and former team members to ensure they receive their remediation payment.

“We have made the necessary adjustments to our systems and processes and will continue to undertake regular audits to ensure that any issues are promptly identified and addressed.”

The total value of the remediation payments is $5.6 million.
