The Territory’s PGA Championship is back with some of Australia’s best golfers set to tee off at the Palmerston Golf and Country Club from 17-20 August 2023, adding another elite sports competition to the Territory’s Major Events calendar.

Defending champion and rising golf star Austin Bautista, of NSW, is set to return and compete for a share of the $200,000 prize money against a field of 120 golfers, with competitors expected to attend from across the world.

The NT PGA Championship, which is supported by the Territory Labor Government through the Northern Territory Major Events Company, is the perfect opportunity for budding Territory golfers to see the experts in action.

Alongside Bautista, fans will be able to watch the likes of David Micheluzzi, the 2022/23 Winner of WA PGA, TPS Sydney & NSW Open; Tom Power-Horan, the 2022/23 Winner of Gippsland Super 6 and The National Tournament and Andrew Martin, Winner of Victorian PGA Championship during the 2022/23 season.

The Palmerston Golf and Country Club is ready to welcome spectators after undergoing extensive renovations including the addition of a mini golf course and new pro shop, car park, and café, with further works being undertaken on the clubhouse.

A number of events will take place in the week leading up to the championship, including an intensive juniors’ clinic with the pros, a Junior Pro Am, a women’s clinic, a clinic to engage Indigenous children in the sport, and a sponsor’s golf day.
