Australia’s transition to net zero gathers Momentum at CBA’s third sustainability conference

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) is hosting its third sustainability conference, Momentum: Accelerating Australia’s Transition, at the International Convention Centre, Sydney, on Tuesday, 12 March. The conference supports CBA’s mission to lead the transition conversation and brings together leading minds to share ideas and insights to help accelerate the nation to a more sustainable and vibrant future.

Headline speakers include CBA CEO Matt Comyn, Team Global Express Group CEO Christine Holgate, Stockland CEO Tarun Gupta, as well as keynotes from environmental activist and consumer advocate Erin Brockovich, engineer and entrepreneur Dr. Saul Griffith and environmental scientist and adventurer Tim Jarvis AM.

Conference panels will also tackle topics including strategies to build out net-zero cities of the future, Australia’s opportunity to lead the world in carbon credit markets, unlocking productivity, profitability and sustainability in agriculture, and connecting capital to accelerate the sustainability transition.

With more than 700 in-person registrations, Momentum: Accelerating Australia’s Transition, is CBA’s largest-ever client event and is part of how CBA is delivering on its ambition to lead the transition conversation.

Momentum builds on CBA’s 2023 Climate Report outlining the bank’s commitment to limiting climate change in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement and supporting Australia’s transition to a net zero economy by 2050.
