Australian duo’s lockdown anthem

Their song about hope and unity ‘Love Tonight’ has become a global phenomenon during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been called Europe’s unofficial ‘Lockdown Release Anthem’.

After topping billboards and radio charts SHOUSE was invited to perform at a Paris Fashion Week show streamed to a global audience and Virgin Radio’s flagship event, Electroshock in Marseille.

The European tour was supported through Sounds Australia’s Export Stimulus (SAES), and according to the duo’s Manager Ant Celestino, the funding was instrumental in assisting with travel expenses, crew costs and publicity.

‘The chance to travel to Europe to perform live has assisted in establishing them as a worldwide hit-maker, defining the duo as a legitimate Australian music export business for the foreseeable future,’ Ant said.

‘It’s been incredible to see SHOUSE grow as professional artists via the opportunities this trip has bought them and the chance to promote themselves outside of Australia has been essential at this point to expand their music careers.’

SAES is supported through the Office for the Arts and more information about the program is available on the Sounds Australia website, along with details of the next round which opens on 10 January 2022.
