Blacktown City Council Bushfire Appeal

Blacktown City Mayor Tony Bleasdale OAM has launched a Blacktown City Council Bushfire Appeal as a response to the bushfires that have devastated so much of New South Wales.

Mayor Bleasdale said; “We are setting up collection points throughout the City where residents can leave items that will be distributed to victims of the fires and evacuation centres.

“So far Blacktown has fortunately escaped the bushfires and Council has vowed to do all it can to assist those councils and their residents who have been hit by the bush fires.”

Items for the Blacktown City Council Bushfire Appeal to be accepted from this morning:

  • non-perishable food items (tinned food and meals (with pull rings) with and dry packaged goods)
  • personal hygiene items
