A woman will face court today charged with murder following an alleged domestic-related incident in Sydney’s west.
About 12.30pm yesterday (Sunday 13 September 2020), officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended a home on Sydney Street, St Marys, after concerns were raised for the welfare of an occupant.
Upon arrival, police located the body of a 35-year-old man inside the unit, suffering severe head wounds.
A crime scene was established and examined by forensic officers.
Local detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, a 34-year-old woman – known to the man – was arrested at St Marys Police Station and charged with murder.
She was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Monday 14 September 2020).
