Two Territory businesses have been recipients of the latest round of funding through the Digital Partnership Program, helping develop innovative digital solutions to meet local challenges in our community.
The Digital Partnership program (DPP) is one of a number of programs delivering under the Northern Territory Business Innovation Strategy to develop a $4 billion Territory innovation ecosystem to support a $40 billion economy in the Territory by 2030.
Mycor has secured $200,000 to develop a low-cost sensor system specialising in open space and turf management. The smart, scalable system will operate on its own secure network and will enable clients to improve water use efficiency, increase productivity and vegetation quality.
Playground 123 has secured $185,000 to develop a management tool that allows playground owners to undertake inspections and audits in accordance with Australian standards. The management tool will also provide maintenance, reporting, strategic planning and risk management to manage the entire playground lifecycle.
Both projects are expected to create 13 jobs during development and more than 20 jobs post commercialisation.
Other programs under the Northern Territory Business Innovation Strategy include the Business Innovation Program, Territory Innovation Challenge Program and the Business Acceleration Program.
