Call for witnesses – Aggravated burglary – Coconut Grove

Northern Territory Police are appealing to the public for information regarding an aggravated burglary in Coconut Grove earlier this week.

On Monday morning, police received a report of an unlawful entry and assault at the residence of a 60-year-old male in Coconut Grove. The victim, who had been assaulted the previous night and suffered head injuries, was confronted by an unknown person and knocked unconscious during the intrusion.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity within the vicinity of Sovereign Circuit between 11pm Sunday night and 3am the following morning or who may have information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Dale Motter-Barnard said, “Strike Force Trident are actively investigating this incident and are seeking any information that may assist us in identifying the person(s) responsible.”
