Calling All Bass Coast Community Heroes

Bass Coast Shire Council today opened nominations for the 2024 Bass Coast Community Awards which honour outstanding individuals from across our community.

Nominations close on 18 April and the judging panel will then select the winners who will be celebrated at a presentation ceremony on 30 May, to align with National Volunteer Week.

The Community Awards complement Council’s Bass Coast Business awards, which also open for entries.

Bass Coast Shire Council Mayor Cr Clare Le Serve said the Community Awards has quickly established themselves as a significant celebration on the region’s calendar.

“It is important for our community to honour those people who through their hard work and passion are the heart and soul of the region,” Cr Le Serve said.

“Volunteering is critical to keeping our community running and shows we care for each other.”
