The Finocchiaro CLP Government has welcomed Calvary Health Care as the new operator of Darwin Private Hospital, securing the future of private hospital services in the Top End.

Calvary has an established record of delivering private hospital, maternity, community and aged care services across Australia and its appointment as the new operator of Darwin Private Hospital will support the long-term sustainability of the health care sector.
Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro said: “Returning private maternity has been a huge fight but Territorians won and we can rebuild what should never have been taken away from us.
“I welcome Calvary’s commitment to restore maternity alongside other important services at Darwin Private Hospital.”
Minister for Health Steve Edgington congratulated Calvary on its successful bid and said the appointment provided renewed confidence in the future of private healthcare in the Territory.
