CASA welcomes new safety panel members

Dr Tarryn Kille joined the Panel for its June meeting this year, and Shannon O’Hara is set to attend her first meeting in October.

Tarryn is a senior lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland, lecturing in aviation leadership and management.

Shannen is the Legal Counsel to the Aviation team at QBE Insurance Australia Pacific.

The Aviation Safety Advisory Panel was established in July 2017 and consists of an independent chair, 6 to 10 representatives from the aviation community, and 2 CASA representatives.

The Panel helps us identify potential safety and regulatory issues, shares its views on policies and regulations, recommends alternative actions to regulatory change and provides technical input as required.

The Panel is currently chaired by Professor Pat Murray from the University of Southern Queensland.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to outgoing members Malcolm Sharp and Mark Awad for their participation and contributions over the last 2 years.
