Diamond Creek Fire Brigade’s annual Christmas tree sale is now on.
The Christmas tree sale is the brigade’s only fundraiser of the year.
Selling 750 trees over three weekends means the brigade can raise enough money to buy essential equipment that helps keep the community safe throughout the year.
This annual Christmas tree drive has been going for more than 10 years. A huge effort is put in by brigade members as shifts are taken over the weekends to be able to sell the trees.
Brigade secretary Antoinette Ribchester said, “The brigade really appreciates the support of the local community.
“Without their support we wouldn’t be able to fundraise on the scale that we do.”
The brigade advertises the event through social media and signage around the local town. Trees are delivered to the brigade each Thursday afternoon ready for them to be sold over the weekend. The brigade will be selling trees for one more weekend.
