The City of Greater Bendigo will trial extended opening hours for the Hargreaves Street Multi-Storey Car Park from November 1 to January 31, 2022.
The trial will see the car park remain open on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight and from 7am to 7pm on Sundays to provide free car parking options for residents and visitors.
City of Greater Bendigo Safe and Healthy Environments Manager, Caroline Grylls said the trial is to provide further parking options to support local businesses in the City Centre during the busy Christmas holiday trading period.
“The City will monitor the rates of use during the extended times to determine the success of the trial,” Ms Grylls said.
“This means there will be an additional 200 free parking bays available for people who are dining and shopping in the City Centre over this busy time of the year.”
“Signs will be put in place at the car park to reflect the changed operating hours during the trial period.”
