Works are currently underway to install a new sewage pipeline, with deep sewer works to be ongoing until July. This work is being undertaken by the Water Corporation for future provision of water services in the area.
Following the completion of the sewage pipeline, early construction works for the METRONET future Ellenbrook Station will commence.
Unfortunately this means the current BMX tracks, which are located behind the Ellenbrook Water playground, will need to be removed due to their proximity to the current sewerage works and future construction envelope for Ellenbrook station. The water playground will not be relocated.
We understand the disappointment at the closure of the jumps. We are looking into options to build new jumps in the Ellenbrook area. In the meantime, we encourage our community to visit the skate park at the nearby Coolamon Oval.
