Comedy special hits Potato Shed

Some of Australia’s leading female comedians are preparing to descend on Drysdale’s Potato Shed as the Bellarine Peninsula performance space plays host to ‘Women of Wit 2023’.

The one-off show will feature the outlandish Nicky Barry, the class clown Patti Fawcett, and the inspirational Daisy Webb, along with renowned comic Cal Wilson who is famous for her performances on The Great Australian Bake Off, Spicks and Specks, the Gala, and the Weekly.

There is also the promise of a special local guest hitting the stage for the show produced by Comedy Victoria.

The performance on Saturday 8 July begins at 8:00pm.

Mayor Trent Sullivan

I welcome this show, the region is fortunate to host such a talented array of Australian comics.

This ‘Women of Wit’ comedy line-up features performers who have appeared at some high-profile comedy festivals around Australia.

They come to our region with a reputation for providing great entertainment and I’m delighted that it’s our iconic Potato Shed once again playing host to such a highly anticipated event.

Patti Fawcett – Class Clown winner – Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2019

I’m excited to be appearing alongside such entertaining performers.

I was part of ‘Women of Wit’ last year; it was so much fun and super, super inspiring.

These are comics who I and others have watched since they were first starting out and they just make you wonder ‘how do you do that?’.

Now to actually be doing a show with them is super cool!
