Congratulations to Simon Wood, who will join our Liberal team after successfully contesting the recount to represent the electorate of Bass.
Having campaigned alongside Simon at the last two elections, I know he is a passionate advocate for Tasmania, and particularly for the Bass electorate.
Simon is well across the needs of the local community having previously served as an Alderman in the Launceston City Council, and I am confident he will hit the ground running and be a strong voice for the people of Bass.
The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering for all Tasmanians, and I look forward to working with Simon as we harness Tasmania’s competitive strengths and invest in the areas that matter to Tasmanians.
