Consultation to shape Cambridge Primary School

Nic Street,Liberal Member for Franklin

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering on our $15.1 million commitment to redevelop Cambridge Primary School with consultation set to open to the community.

The redevelopment of Cambridge Primary School will deliver contemporary new learning facilities, support spaces, and traffic and car parking improvements.

Students, staff, and the local community will have the opportunity to help shape the redevelopment of Cambridge Primary School, and prioritise the scope of works, with community consultation commencing from 11 October.

The consultation will include an online survey and workshops will be held with students, staff, and the community at the school on Wednesday 10 November.

Local Liberal Member for Franklin, Nic Street, said that enrolments at Cambridge Primary School have continued to grow in recent years as new residential and commercial developments have attracted more families into the region.

“That’s why the Tasmanian Liberal Government is investing in new education facilities at Cambridge Primary to support our learners there and ensure we provide the best possible facilities to accommodate more students.”

“The redevelopment of Cambridge Primary School is part of the Tasmanian Liberal Government’s record investment in new education infrastructure and demonstrates our strong track record of delivering on our election commitments.”

Feedback received through this consultation will inform the master planning and design processes so that the school is shaped by its learners, staff, and the community it serves.

The Department of Education will continue to work collaboratively with the Clarence City Council to deliver a great outcome for the school and the local community.
