A Corrective Services NSW officer has been arrested and charged over the alleged indecent assaults and sexual touching of three women.
Last month, detectives from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit commenced an investigation following reports three women had been indecently assaulted by a corrections officer while at work.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 68-year-old man at a home at Eagle Vale about 8am today (Thursday 5 March 2020).
He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with five counts of assault with act of indecency and two counts of sexually touch another person without consent.
It will be alleged in court that the man indecently assaulted three women – two co-workers and a court sheriff – between December 2013 and February 2020.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 30 March 2020.
He has been suspended by Corrective Services NSW.
Corrective Services Investigation Unit Commander, Detective Inspector Rob Hollows, said police take all reports of this nature seriously.
“Our investigators have taken swift and appropriate action after commencing an investigation last month,” Det Insp Hollows said.
“This type of behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the community, especially not in the workplace.”
