Following a hugely successful debut earlier this year, the Echuca Country Music Festival is set to return to Echuca Racecourse on Saturday, 17 April 2027, bringing another day of outstanding live music, entertainment, and regional tourism to the Campaspe Shire region.
The announcement comes as Council commits to supporting the festival in 2027 and 2028.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell said Council was proud to support events such as this that brought so much value to the community.
“The Echuca Country Music Festival is just one of the events that Council helps bring to life each year for the benefit of our community as well as visitors and local businesses.
“Music has a way of bringing people together in a shared experience that everyone can enjoy in their own way,” Cr Mackrell said.
“Whether you’re keen to get up and dance or just sit back and relax and take it all in, the Echuca Country Music Festival is sure to provide a great day out once again.”
After attracting country music fans from across Victoria and interstate in its first year, organisers are preparing an even bigger event for 2027, with a star-studded artist lineup to be announced in the coming months.
Festival director Scott Hollow said the response to the inaugural event exceeded expectations and cemented Echuca as an ideal destination for a major country music festival.
“The support from the community, visitors, artists and local businesses was incredible.
“We knew after the success of the first festival that we had to come back and build on that momentum,” he said.
“Echuca has a fantastic atmosphere, a strong tourism offering and a passionate country music audience. We’re excited to deliver another memorable event in 2027 and continue growing the festival into one of regional Victoria’s premier country music experiences.”
Set against the backdrop of Echuca Racecourse, the festival will once again feature a full day of live country music performances, food vendors, licensed bars, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The event is expected to attract visitors from across Victoria, New South Wales and beyond, providing a significant boost to local accommodation providers, hospitality venues and businesses throughout the Campaspe region.
Country music continues to be one of Australia’s fastest-growing music genres, and the Echuca Country Music Festival is quickly establishing itself as a must-attend event on the national festival calendar.
