  • Western Australia’s vaccine rollout is picking up speed, with bookings reopening for those aged 30 to 39 and 140,000 Pfizer appointments on offer for eligible Western Australians over a two-week vaccination blitz.

The vaccination blitz will run between Monday, August 16 to Sunday, August 29.

Western Australians aged between 30 and 39 who have already registered on https://www.rollupforwa.com.au will be given priority for bookings, and can make an appointment at a State-run clinic from today (August 3).

All other Western Australians aged 30 to 39 can register for a COVID-19 vaccine now at Roll up for WA. These people will be eligible to make a booking from Monday, August 9.

The vaccination blitz follows a record week of more than 57,000 COVID-19 vaccines administered in State-run community clinics last week. In total more than 1.1 million COVID-19 doses have now been administered in WA.

During the blitz, the number of appointments and opening hours will be increased at vaccination clinics in Kwinana, Claremont, Redcliffe and Joondalup.

The new Perth CBD vaccination clinic will also open at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday August 16, providing a convenient location for eligible people in the Perth CBD.

COVID-19 vaccinations across regional WA also continue to ramp up, with people aged between 30-39 also able to book in to receive a Pfizer vaccination in more than 90 different locations across the State.

Visit https://www.rollupforwa.com.au or phone 13COVID for more information.

As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:

“State-run community clinics last week set a record with 57,000 COVID-19 vaccines administered to eligible Western Australians.

“We need to continue to build momentum with our vaccine rollout.

“Our two-week vaccination blitz will give more eligible Western Australians the opportunity to Roll up for WA and get vaccinated with Pfizer.

“Importantly, we are able to again open up bookings to Western Australians aged 30 to 39 – with priority given to those who have already registered.

“Those registered will receive a SMS from today with a link to book – I encourage those to book as soon as possible, and remind people to not just walk in.

“Please make sure you book now, at rollupforwa.com.au, or by calling 13 COVID.”

As stated by Health Minister Roger Cook:

“WA’s COVID-19 vaccination program continues to build momentum, and this blitz will help see more Western Australians vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.

“The program is moving from strength to strength, and this week we are on track to administer around 60,000 vaccinations in State-run clinics. That will increase to 70,000 doses a week during the two-week blitz.

“There are plenty of bookings available over the next few months, so if you’re aged 30 years and over, I encourage you to book in to get vaccinated.”
