Queensland Police have charged two people after an alleged stolen vehicle was driven dangerously in Brisbane’s south and Logan yesterday afternoon, February 28.
It will be alleged that a Toyota Kluger was initially stolen from a North Road, Woodridge address on Tuesday, February 27.
Around 6:30pm yesterday, that vehicle was spotted driving dangerously along the Gateway Motorway at Belmont.
A short time later, the Toyota was observed on Old Cleveland Road at Capalaba, where it allegedly drove dangerously at an emergency services vehicle.
The emergency services vehicle was able to travel to the nearby Capalaba Police Station, and no one onboard was physically injured.
Around 7:15pm, the Toyota was observed parked on Priestdale Road at Rochedale South, with officers arriving a short time later and taking a female passenger in the vehicle into custody.
Following further patrols, officers were able to locate a man, alleged to have been the vehicle’s driver, nearby.
The 34-year-old man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, injuring a police dog, obstruct police, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, using false plates.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, February 29.
The 29-year-old Waterford West woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 27.
