I’m pleased to announce progress on infrastructure projects, with WSP Australia Pty Ltd awarded the tender to deliver detailed design options for a number of key projects under the Hobart City Deal.
This includes ensuring that important community consultation is included on the Southern Outlet transit lane, bus priority measures on Macquarie and Davey Streets, and concept designs for a Park and Ride in Kingborough.
These projects will make public transport a more viable option for more commuters and improve the reliability of travel times.
The Hobart City Deal is a great example of what can be achieved when the Hodgman majority and Morrison Liberal Governments work together with local government, taking an integrated and collaborative approach to improving travel around Hobart.
A comprehensive report, including the concept designs, is due to Government in September 2020.
