A man will appear in court today charged over the alleged commercial supply of methylamphetamine across south west Sydney.
In October 2019, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad, established Strike Force Sovat to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine and heroin, across Sydney’s south west.
Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad, executed two search warrants at homes in Chipping Norton and Moorebank about 7am today (Wednesday 5 February 2020).
During the searches, officers seized mobile phones and other electronic devices.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the Chipping Norton home and taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), three counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), and supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity).
Police will allege the man was involved in the supply of more than 1.6kg of methylamphetamine and more than 400g of heroin.
The man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 5 February 2020).
