Campaspe Library Service is hosting two author visits next week in Echuca with talks from bestselling author, podcaster and community historian, Liz Harfull, and Australian historical and contemporary fiction author, Darry Fraser.

Campaspe Shire Deputy Mayor, Cr Tony Marwood said it’s a great finish to the year with two more sessions after a wonderful year of authors visiting Campaspe Libraries.

Liz Harfull will be visiting Echuca Library on Thursday, 30 November at 2.30pm.

“Liz is passionate about telling the stories and unearthing the histories of everyday people who make up the communities we live in, especially in rural and regional Australia.”

“At her author visit, Liz will be discussing fascinating stories of the iconic Country Women’s Association and a generation of farming women, as featured in Liz’s latest release, A Farming Life,” Cr Marwood said.

Darry Fraser will be visiting Echuca Library on Wednesday, 6 December at 2pm.

“Darry has been inspired and motivated by growing up in Swan Hill and living close to the Murray River for most of her life. A number of her novels are set along the Murray and take inspiration from its landscape.

“Darry will be discussing her latest novel The Milliner of Bendigo. It’s a story of mystery and mayhem, love and life and adventure, set against the backdrop of historical events.

“It’s wonderful to see a great range of activities and events in the shire for residents. We look forward to seeing you at the library for these two wonderful visits,” Cr Marwood added.

Sessions are free, however bookings are required. Bookings can be made online by visiting the Library website, or calling Campaspe Library Service on 03 5481 2400.

Books will be available for sale at both events.
