Tokyo Tech’s Environmental Report 2023 Digest Version is now available in English online.
Like businesses, Tokyo Tech and other national university corporations are required to compile and publish environmental reports annually in accordance with the Environmental Consideration Law of 2004. The Institute has been publishing its Japanese version of the report since FY2005 and an English digest since FY2019.
In addition to summarizing the Institute’s Environmental Policy, the 2023 English digest includes infographics on energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and other environmental performance indicators at the Institute, and outlines Tokyo Tech’s initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of chemical substances used in labs. It also highlights recent research on the circulation of greenhouse gases and the development of recyclable, eco-friendly concrete.
Student-led environmental conservation activities and contributions by iGEM TokyoTech are also in the spotlight.
