Following a well-attended session in Jindivick in late February, Council pop-up will make its way to the Erica Hall on Thursday 26 March from 3.00pm – 6.00pm.
All community members are welcome to attend and will be able to meet with and share any ideas or concerns they might have with Councillors, members of the Executive team and staff.
Council pop-up is an outreach program that aims to bring Council closer to communities in both rural and major townships. The sessions provide a transparent and open-communication platform for community members to discuss ideas, ask questions and provide feedback to Council.
Following a successful pilot of the program during 2019, Council pop-up will continue throughout this year with more sessions in both rural areas – including Longwarry, Seaview and Yarragon. Due to the success of the Warragul sessions in December 2019, visits to larger townships will also be offered.
Council pop-ups will be widely advertised, giving community members plenty of notice that Council staff will be present in their area.
The program will be run on a bi-monthly frequency, with sessions running for 3-4 hours, at a time that suits the community best.
