Expert advice to grow food and beverage businesses

  • 74 food and beverage businesses to access funding support under McGowan Government’s Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program
  • Small to medium enterprises across metropolitan and regional areas supported to engage professional consultants or technical experts
  • The McGowan Government will support 74 food and beverage businesses to grow their operations and boost local jobs.

    Round Two of the Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program will provide $494,949 worth of vouchers to local businesses to support access to expert advice to grow.

    The program provides small to medium enterprises in metropolitan and regional areas with vouchers of up to $10,000 to engage a professional consultant or technical expert to assist business growth objectives, spanning from digital and technology planning to market positioning.

    Eligible businesses are also required to invest on a minimum dollar-for-dollar co-contribution basis.

    The program is delivered by the Agribusiness Food and Trade team within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

    As stated by Agriculture and Food Minister Alannah MacTiernan:

    “The WA Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program helps businesses build their capacity and confidence to capture new opportunities for growth.

    “The assistance will help businesses expand a wide range of manufactured products, including premium beef, lamb, confectionery, juices, truffles, cider, seafood, dried fruit, cereals, craft beer, wine, alcoholic spirits, pasta, honey and kombucha.

    “It also supports primary producers who want to take steps towards manufacturing to produce value-added food and beverages.

    “Building our food and beverage businesses across the State boosts local jobs, provides new market options for our agricultural sector and supports our regional economies.”
