Expo 2020 Dubai – global platform for Australian education to shine

Austrade

The Australian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was officially opened by Minister for Trade Tourism and Investment, The Hon Dan Tehan MP on 2 October 2021. This is the first ever world expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South-Asia regions. The six-month program will focus on themed week programs addressing issues of global significance.

Promoting Australia’s education sector is a priority for the Australian Government at Expo 2020 Dubai, and is an opportunity for Australia to attract international students, raise our education profile, and develop institutional relationships in key commercial sectors.

To support student-facing education promotion objectives Austrade has established a virtual Study Australia education platform as a one-stop-education showcase linked to Expo 2020 Dubai. This will extend the reach of ongoing promotion over the six-month program and will complement education activities being undertaken at the Australian Expo pavilion and other Expo 2020 arranged events.

The pavilion is a virtual resource for students and those who influence the student decision journey. It will be always on and regularly updated to reflect sector messaging and announcements. The next iteration of the successful Study Australia Masterclasses Series will be hosted on this platform across January and February 2022. Additional virtual event days will be included by Austrade. Australian study destination agencies and peak bodies have been provided the opportunity to participate in the virtual pavilion.

We encourage you to visit the Study Australia Expo 2020 virtual pavilion and participate in the live events across the program. Austrade also welcomes nominations from the sector on high-quality pre-recorded academic content that are aligned to Expo 2020 Dubai theme weeks
