Extended transition period: CHC51115 Diploma of Financial Counselling

In some cases, ASQA is empowered to approve transition periods longer than those detailed in Clauses 1.26 (a), (b) and (c) of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.

In accordance with the Guidance for Providers – Learner Transition, ASQA will consider applications for a longer transition period where it can be demonstrated that there would be genuine disadvantage to a cohort of learners if such an extension was not approved.

ASQA has recently approved an extended transition period for the abovenamed qualification for all providers with scope for delivery.

The extended training, assessment and certification issuance period for this qualification ends on 14 December 2024. It permits new enrolments in the qualification, however all students must have either completed or be transferred to the replacement qualification by the transition end date.

The decision to extend the transition end date for this qualification was supported by Financial Counselling Australia.

ASQA consulted with the VRQA and TAC WA for this extended transition request.

This qualification will remain on the provider’s scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period.
