Extradition, sexual assault at Gold Coast

Queensland police will today apply for the extradition of three Western Australian men who have been arrested by virtue of a Queensland arrest warrant for the offence of rape.

It will be alleged a teenage girl was sexually assaulted by three men at an apartment complex in Surfers Paradise last week.

Two men were arrested by Australian Federal Police on Sunday, June 30 at Perth airport and a third man was arrested by Western Australian Police at an address in Perth yesterday.

The Perth men, two aged 21 and one 23, who had been holidaying on the Gold Coast, are expected to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today where Queensland Police will seek their extradition to Brisbane.
