Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision involving a cyclist in Taylors Lakes.
Emergency services were called to the Melton Highway near McCubbin Drive at 6.40am after reports of a collision between a vehicle and cyclist.
The male cyclist, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
It is believed the driver of the vehicle did not stop, however came forward to police about 7.30am.
The 20-year-old Avondale Heights man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Drivers are advised the Melton Highway is closed for west bound traffic at Kings Road.
The investigation is ongoing and the Major Collision Investigation Unit is attending.
