Fatal traffic crash in Charters Towers, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 68-year-old Broughton man died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Charters Towers earlier this month.

Investigations indicate that around 9:55am on Thursday, March 14, emergency services were called to Hornes Road, Broughton following the 68-year-old male motorbike rider being found unresponsive.

The man was transported to Charters Towers Hospital in a serious condition and was further transported to Townsville University Hospital.

Earlier today, the man died due to his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.
