Fatal Two-vehicle Crash – Rouse Hill

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 7pm (Tuesday 9 April 2024), emergency services were called to Sanctuary Drive, Rouse Hill, following reports of a bus and car colliding.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a passenger in the car – a man believed to be aged in his 60s – however; he died at the scene.

The driver – a 40-year-old man – was trapped before being released by Fire and Rescue NSW.

He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Three other passengers – a woman aged in her 60s, a 39-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the bus – a 61 year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command established a crime scene and an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
