Ferguson’s No Confidence in Half-hearted Rockliff

Tasmanian Labor

Michael Ferguson’s refusal to
endorse the half-hearted Jeremy Rockliff for the third day in a row shows how
divided the Liberals have become.

How many Liberals are holding
out with Mr Ferguson?

Elise Archer, formerly in the
Ferguson camp, appears to have defected.

What deals have been done to
secure Ms Archer’s support?

Will she become Treasurer and
Deputy Premier?

Jane Howlett was described by
Peter Gutwein as being the greatest Sports Minister in Tasmanian history, but
was then sacked.

She has been publicly
campaigning to get her job back on social media. Has a deal been done to
return Ms Howlett to the Ministry in exchange for her support?

Peter Gutwein has
still not resigned from Parliament, presumably because Jeremy Rockliff needs
his vote on Friday.

Jeremy Rockliff is a nice guy,
but does he really have the energy to deliver the long list of incomplete
projects he will inherit from Peter Gutwein?

Has Jeremy Rockliff got the
energy to deal with the budget mess left by Peter Gutwein?

Tasmania is set to lose hundreds of millions of dollars each year when then the Liberals’ GST guarantee and the Mersey Hospital funding run out and hit the budget.
